- Approach the biopsy forceps near to the tissue (lesion) to be taken from the patient’s body.
- Open the cups by pushing the plastic spool at the handle.
- Place the forceps on the tissue and take the sample gently by pulling back the plastic spool (this manipulation will close the forceps cups).
- Keep the forceps cups closed and remove biopsy forceps out of the endoscope carefully.
- This tissue specimen taken will be ready for further histological examination.
