Sphincterotomes or also called Papillotomes are made of a teflon flexible tube with a cutting wire at the distal end in different shapes and sizes. At the proximal end, there is a handle with an HF connector. Most models have 3 lumen, one that can be used to inject contrast through a lateral port and the other that can be used to insert a CE certified guide wire. The maximum rated accessory voltage is 1500 Vpk.
