The Multiband Ligator is used via endoscope to ligate oesophageal varices at and above the oesophageal junction. The G-Flex Multiband Ligator generates a haemostasis effect by providing mechanical compression in the clamped tissues and vessels.
Performances
The claimed clinical performances are primary and secondary prophylaxis of oesophageal variceal bleeding: eradication of the varices (60-80%). Several sessions (2-6) may be required until the total eradication of the varices.
