Once the foreign body is located in the patient’s body the following procedure should be done:
- Insert the device into the endoscope.
- Place the distal end of tube in front of the object to be removed.
- Push the handle spool in order to take the grasping end out of the tube and then bring the object to be captured in the center of the graspers.
- Close the prongs or snare carefully as much as the object allows by pulling back the handle spool.
- Remove the object and the grasper gently withdrawing the endoscope. Always keep the grasper prongs or snare tightly closed.
