EN – TF21 – Procedure
- With the lock lever pushed LEFT aspirate enough liquid from a sterile bowl to fill approximately three fourths of the syringe capacity.
- With the Stopcock closed and the gauge inverted withdraw the plunger to evacuate any trapped air in the system.
- Open stopcock, hold device upright, tap barrel lightly in the hand and advance the plunger to release and purge any trapped air. Leave syringe approximately one-half full of contrast.
- Push the lock lever to the RIGHT into its upright position to engage the lock mechanism. Rotate the palm grip clockwise until the tubing is clear of air. Attach the tubing to the purged balloon catheter.
- To inflate, rotate the palm grip clockwise to the desired pressure.
- To gradually deflate, leave lock lever in upright engaged position and rotate palm grip counterclockwise until desired deflation pressure is reached. To rapidly deflate, push the lock lever LEFT and pull back plunger.
