Insertion into the Endoscope
The device must be passed through the endoscope operating channel with its cutting wire free from tension. Please ensure compatibility between the operating channel and device diameter. Any CE certified endoscope brand with a minimum operating channel diameter of 2.8 mm is compatible with the Sphincterotomes/ Papillotomes.
HF active cord Connection
Connect a compatible active cord to electricity connector at the handle and to the HF-generator.
HF Generators
Sphincterottomes/Papillotomes can be connected to all licensed HF monopolar generators by using the active cord.
Always check compatibility between HF generator and active cord. In doubt contact the manufacturer of generator or your local distributor.
The family of products has been tested in combination with the HF generator model ERBE ICC and the impedance has been controlled using the HF generator protocol. Any HF generators:
- attending CE marked requirements
- able to deliver the max rated accessory voltage of 1500 Vpk and max output power of 300W
- compliant to the IEC 60601-1, IEC60601-2-2 and IEC60601-1-2 and any other relevant standards at the time of its acquisition and
- able to perform an impedance control of the external electrical circuit prior delivering the HF energy
can be used in combination with the device.

If HF from other manufacturers are used, check their compatibility and follow their instructions. Applicable limit values:
- Max. Power: 300W
- Max. HF voltage CUT mode: 1500 Vpk
