Clear the area from mucus or other fluids around the polyp as it may decrease the current density reducing the cutting power.
- Place the distal tip of the tube right in front of the polyp to be cut.
- By pushing the handle spool expose the snare fully out of the tube and capture the polyp into the open snare.
- Pull back the spool until the snare closes on the polyp stalk and stays tighten around the polyp pedicle.
- Verify, with the HF generator and the attached HF-cord, that the electrical circuit has been correctly created.
- Apply HF-electric current on the snare for a brief moment, usually less than 5-10 seconds (Please observe HF generator manufacturer’s instructions!).
- Cut the polyp by pulling the snare completely into the tube.
- Stop the HF-electric current and remove carefully the Disposable Polypectomy Snare out of the endoscope.
Do not touch other tissue areas with the snare while using HF-electric current (high hurt risk for the patient)!
