Disposable Polypectomy Snares are made of a flexible tube with a loop in different sizes and shapes at the distal end and a handle to expose and retract the loop into the catheter. The handle has a HF connector to be attached to a high frequency (HF) generator and an active cord. The snare loop is considered the active part of the device and its length is detailed on the device label. The maximum rated accessory voltage is 1500 Vpk. The device electrical safety has been tested under the following environmental conditions recommended for its use: temperature of 15-36˚C, maximum 95% RH and lowest air pressure of 800 hPa.
